About the Wine

Gamay bottled by the litre, from their own old vines half planted in 1927, half in 1970, which sit on soils deep in limestone and clay. The whole bunches are picked by hand in small baskets then put into a 30hl cuve by hand where they macerate whole bunch for two weeks.

As ever, Raphaël & Émélie's Gamay walks the line between supple, smooth elegance and wild-edged earthiness. The oversized bottles make a lot of sense as the wine feels like something to slurp and glug, rather than to sip and pore over - it's nourishing, compelling stuff. One for those who don't seek outright perfection, rather a rough-hewn rusticity and the soul that brings to a wine. Pour in generous glasses, lightly chilled.

Bunny Wine 2021 LITRE

Raphaël & Émélie love big bottles. Rarely have we drunk anything of theirs from less than a litre-sized vessel. When you taste their wine it makes so much sense! This is deepest, wildest Gamay from a parcel in Theize they have lovingly converted to organic over the years. The wine is of the raw, expressive variety and brims with vitality. Find out more.
