One of Val's deliciously light and juicy reds, in a style he refers to as 'glouglou plus' - meaning there is a wealth of explosive, pure fruit character, but not to the loss of structure in the wine. Sumptuous black cherry fruit and spice jostle together with very light grip from the dialled-back tannins. A playful, well-rounded bouncing ball of a wine with no shortage of charm. This is a blend of their own Gamay with grapes from the Alsace, this time we have Sylvaner & Pinot Blanc joining the party, with everything being macerated together in whole bunches for a week before ageing in foudre barrel. L'Indigène is one of Bohn's more experimental cuvées and uses what is often perceived as a lesser grape of the region, Sylvaner, to great effect. Reminiscent of some the macerations with Pinot Gris from the Alsace, it has a similar peachy tint to it, as well as a tea-like quality. Find out more.
