Roberto Henriquez
Rivera del Notro Blanco 2018

The trio of grapes used here are local to the Itata Valley, although you will not often find them amongst the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc-dominated commercial Chilean wine. Roberto's aim is to hark back to the traditions of yore. The grapes here come from vines around 100 years old, planted over granite soils that impart an unmistakable smokiness to the finished wine. Incredibly light on its feet, with herby cherry fruit and a pronounced smokiness that is a hallmark of this ancient terroir. Hard to believe the vines from which this wine was grown are up to 200 years old! Find out more.
