Abreuver is always made with Gamay from Daniel's own vines in Bogy, located in the Northern tip of the Ardèche. A warmer vintage has left this with some inky colour and a touch of residual sugar, but with the gentle touch a la Sage, balance is still present. The grapes macerate for three weeks in whole bunches. The resulting wine is pure, peppery and granitic with a fine mix of acidity, delicate fruit, and gentle tannin.
Sage has now officially partnered up with Jordi Torgue to make wine as 'Force Boisson'. The wines are some of the most sought-after and for good reason.
