Fruit forward, approachable Côtes du Rhône named after the local Northern wind ‘Mistral’. The wine is packed with spicy cherries and raspberries sitting nicely beside silky tannins. There’s a freshness and juiciness here, with the the fruit taking centre stage while subtle spiciness sits in the background.
Made with grapes from young to 40-year-old vines located on sandy slopes between Châteauneuf and Orange. Grenache and Syrah make up the majority of the blend, with the addition of Carignan and Vaccarese. 20% of the grapes ferment in whole bunches before being cuve aged and bottled early in June. The wine is pure and balanced and would sit perfectly beside your next Sunday roast.
