About the Wine

A little like the red version of La Migas, Negramoll is an expression of the eponymous grape from various small parcels dotted around the island of La Palma. Each vineyard is vinified separately, mainly 8 days whole-bunch, and then the wine is blended and aged for a year in barrel before bottling.

The volcanic soils here impart an unmistakable smokiness and granular feel to the black berry fruits, giving the impression that the whole thing has been filtered through rock. A singular wine of real tension and verve, which could be of interest to fans of the Auvergne style of Gamay & Pinot.

Stunning lightness of touch in this co-fermentation of red & white grapes grown on volcanic ash soils. This blend of Listan Blanco, Negramoll, and Listan Negro sees some very short skin contact and is aged in old barrels. Less than 900 bottles produced! Find out more.
