About the Wine

100% Listan Blanco from a dozen different small parcels dotted around the south of the Island of La Palma. The names translates as 'the crumbs', clearly relating to how each of these small vineyards contributes to the whole. Grapes from each site are vinified separately and then blended together, over the course of three weeks. The stems are removed and there is a very gentle skin maceration, with a long three-year lees ageing before bottling.

Being the Canaries, the soils here are purely volcanic, in particular black ash which creates a bizarre, almost alien landscape. In terms of the wine, it imparts beautiful tension to the acidity and a flint-like smokiness that binds the fruit. La Migas is a beautiful all-round expression of the island, and a great place to start if you have not tried Victoria's stunning wines before.
