100% Aligote, macerated in whole bunches, then pressed off in Arnaud's small basket press. It's got incredibly ripe fruit, balanced with a taut minerality and focus. Find out more.
This is his direct-press Aligoté, given a slow 24-48 hour press in his antique basket press, which gives texture and body to the wine. It has electric acidity and incredibly pure fruit. Drinking well already but this one will only benefit from some cellar time if you have the patience to lay it down.
Arnaud is working a small holding of Pinot Noir and Aligoté in the Haute Côtes De Beaune that was originally planted by his parents. The grapes used to be sold to a co-operative, but now Arnaud makes his own wine and has recently planted more of these varietals. The wines are electric - lightly extracted juices full of energy and very pure fruit. Working under VDF gives him the freedom to make wines as he pleases, hence the unconventional finished articles. A real taste of the obscure.
