A thirst-quenching blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Mencia, filled with bright, juicy fruit and racy salty notes. A charming wine which showcases the purest of fruit through bursts of soft bramble and citrus. There’s a distinctly Mediterranean feel to the wine with sea salt and herbs playing their part with ease. A wine which shows incredible balance, with both depth of flavour and freshness sitting side by side. A charming wine that is enormously drinkable. Totally delicious.
O Trancado is the plot which Nacho inherited from his grandmother and where he started back in 2011. It was these old, low-yielding vines that set Nacho on his viticultural path, the resulting wines show beautiful expressions of a single plot of land, a snapshot of time and place. Made with 70% Garnacha Tintorera and 30% Mecia, the grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in old-oak barrels where the grapes skins are gradually removed by hand until just the must remain. Aging takes place in old oak, adding a soft spicy complexity to the wine without sacrificing the immense drinkability.
