This lesser-spotted Riesling is a wine from the négoce project of one Fabrice Dodane, who you may know better for his work at the lauded Domaine de Saint Pierre. The grapes are purchased from an organic grower in the Alsace and the wine is made back home in the Jura.
Everything you'd expect from a high-quality expression of the grape; high levels of mouth-watering acidity with a raw citrus quality, smoky lime and nectarine with that hallmark waft of kerosine lifting from the glass, accentuated by a brief skin maceration. Treated in the manner of one of their Chardonnays or Savagnins and given time in barrel, the wine has incredible poise and finesse.
