About the wine

Beautiful pét-nat of Sylvaner, bright and fresh fruited with a salty minerality and the tiniest, softest bubble. Made with Sylvaner from young vines planted on clay, the grapes are manually pressed then aged in riddling racks for 6 months. Textured and hazy but not lacking in elegance and nuance. A pretty, fragrant fizz that would make a beautiful aperitif.

Jura born and now settled in Alsace, Vincent Larcelet released his first vintage of Domaine du Petit Bouchon in 2020, expanding on the legacy imparted on him while working under the tutelage of legendary Jean-François Ganevat. Vincents work is careful and considered, he eschews manipulation of the wines which come together with (in Vincent’s words) 'no so2, no filtration, just love'.

The resulting wines are detailed, nuanced and above all allow the terroir to shine. It’s still fairly early days at Domaine du Petit Bouchon, we look forward to following the journey.
