About the Wine
This wine is a 'brut nature', the driest category for sparkling wine meaning no sugar remains. The wine is blended with other vintages aged for 9 months in barrels before going into the bottle, which gives the wine its characteristic, rich and faintly oxidative character. The fruit is still fresh pear and apple, with some deeper notes of dried stone fruit too. The wine is left on its lees in the bottle for 2 years before being disgorged, leaving the wine crystal clear but with that salty depth and complexity the technique imparts. For our money one of the best value crémants out there.
