After-dinner Mauro. Still credited as the only white Chinato out there, think of this as something like a Moscato d’Asti, but amped up with a host of citrus and herbs, and given a distinct bitter backbone with the use of quinine bark. Find out more.

Aromatically this is a textbook example of the grape; plush, brightly-toned notes of red berries, charred capsicum and ground coffee are vibrant and upfront. On the palate the wine is glossy, with deep, sumptuous fruit and gentle bitters leading into detailed granular tannins and a stony, mineral backbone. Find out more.

The darker juice from the Syrah pulling more towards a rosé in appearance, but with a peachy sunset tint from the macerated Viognier, it remains a hard wine to categorise, but also begs the question, what does that matter?
