June's Warehouse Session
Our next party down at the arches is coming around fast! Thanks to all who came along last month to enjoy the wonderful English wines of Titch Hill - also big shout to Alex and Alan for throwing down a blinder on the turntables as clement afternoon turned to balmy evening.
On Saturday 15th June we go again! Another month, another guest winemaker joins us - this time we're incredibly excited to be bringing Ignasi Segui of Vinyes Singulars to Leeds for the very first time, whose rainbow of fresh, electric, zero-zero Penedès wines channel the heat of a heady Barcelona summer in a manner that we are positively crying out for right now. We have just this week had a big shipment from Ignasi land with us at the warehouse and he'll be here to pour the multitude of new wines for you in person!
This month we're also over the moon to bring a second guest, Stephen Marshall of Futtle - organic brewery-cum-record-shop - all the way down from the East Neuk of Fife with a welcome cargo of freshly brewed beer and choice records. Along with partner Lucy, Futtle brew fully organic, farmhouse, foraged and wild beers which will quench thirsts in the most appropriate way. Heading up Futtle Records, it follows that Stephen is also a fantastic DJ - he'll be playing an afternoon set for us, which judging from past experiences will be a fine mix of obscure dub, frazzled blues and the rarest of grooves. Our dear friend edv3ctor will be back for another multifarious early-evening slot too.
To keep you well-fed there will be cheese and more (hopefully gelato) from our archway neighbours George & Joseph, plus our guest food trader for the month will be rising star Nicko Lachica, who under the name Herencia has been popping up all over Leeds with his particular brand of Filipino-inspired street food - perfect snacks to keep you steadied and sustained...
Find us at at 61 & 62 Brussels Street, LS9, a short walk from Kirkgate Market, right behind the old Stinky’s Peephouse. 1-9pm, no tickets, no reservations, just come through!
