Too overwhelmed or busy to choose your Christmas wine? Let us help! We’ve chosen 3 Christmas Cases to cover all bases and budgets. For our top case, Santa has dug into his cellar to select some of his favourite festive bottles. This one is packed with wall-to-wall gems including a beautiful white Burgundy, a muscular Northern Rhône-style Syrah and a top end Corpinnat Cava (among others things). A case good enough for the big man himself!
Available online only, all prices include a little discount and free shipping.
Recaredo ‘Terrers’ Brut Nature Corpinnat 2020
Top-end Cava at its finest! Mature, complex Corpinnat produced with a patience that we have not seen elsewhere. Fine bubbled with those classic brioche notes alongside ripe peach and zesty lemons.
La Stoppa ‘Ageno’ 2020
Skin contact Malvasia, Ortrugo, Trebbiano. Incredibly complex with spices, citrus fruits, flowers. Some of the wine spends a bit of time in French barriques which lends an extraordinary opulence to the already generous body. One of the very best!
Frédéric Cossard ‘Bourgogne Blanc Bigotes’ 2021
Chardonnay from vines planted near the village of Puligny. This has everything we love about Burgundian Chardonnay, possessing great balance, chalky minerals, gorgeous stone fruits and a clean, salty finish.
Noëlla Morantin ‘LBL’ 2022
Exceptional Sauvignon Blanc that sees 2 full years' ageing in old oak barrels. Aromas of brioche and frangipane sit alongside white flowers, candied lime peel. Pure and detailed with passion fruit, salt crystals and white grapefruit hanging together in harmonious balance.
Patricia & Rémi Bonneton L’Alezan ‘Resilience’ 2022
Muscular Northern Rhône-style Syrah from the Bonneton’s prized vineyard. Deep, sumptuous blackcurrant fruit, black olive tapenade and toasted cacao with the kind of bold, fine-grained tannins you’d expect with this style.
Bbirbiciù ‘Brasi’ 2022
The colour of a brick-tinged Nebbiolo in the glass, this singular red/white blend of Catarratto and Pignatello captures the essence of Pantelleria. Packed full of dusty black fruit, floral cherry blossom, exotic spices and the twang of salinity that the Sirocco wind brings in on the breeze.
