About the wine

DUE TO THE SCARCITY OF THIS WINE WE ARE LIMITING SALES TO ONE BOTTLE PER CUSTOMER

Blink and you’ll miss it - here we have Amélie and Seb’s very first bottling of Poulsard. Made using grapes from a number of small parcels in Montigny-lès-Arsures, Molamboz and Arbois. The bunches were destemmed and macerated for three weeks, before being pressed to vats until the following spring. A cool, classic vintage has produced a pale, delicate and fragrant wine that is all red berries, blood orange, earth and funk. A wine which simply screams of the Jurassic home from which it comes. Fragrant and pure, it’s everything we love about the varietal.

The very first vintage of this wine, it’s a pleasure to get our hands on just a couple of bottles.

About Amélie Vuillet & Sébastien Jacques

Amélie and Sébastien are producing some of the most vibrant and exciting wines in the Jura. Both natives of the region, between them they have worked with some of the region's great vignerons- Brignot, Bornard, Overnoy and Tissot. So, it’s safe to say they have learned from some of the best. They have just over one hectare of vines spread over tiny parcels around their home in Molamboz, as well as in Arbois and Montigny-lès-Arsures. Their work is focused on having the utmost respect for nature, with biodiversity being cherished and treatments rarely being used. They work the soil by horseback, while in the cellar work is gentle with no temperature control and using gravity alone to move the wine from vessel to vessel. In doing this, they are creating wines that are as true an expression of place as possible. Wines of this kind of purity don’t come along every day.
