About the Wine
Deep colour typical of the inky red Saperavi grape, but lifted and aromatic care of the Mtsvane, which is white. Flavours of blueberries and dark currants, velvety texture with a hint of bitter chocolate and nice defined tannins. Made in the traditional qvevri - a clay vessel that is buried in the ground to channel the heat of the earth, creating the perfect conditions within for a natural fermentation without temperature control. As ancient a method as you'll find.
