About the wine

Vibrant Jura Chardonnay from a tiny 1.2 hectare parcel in Arbois. Fresh with aromas of citrus and white flowers, the wine captures the essence of the Jura with taught minerality and a distinctive streak of salinity. A tiny production Jura gem that is sure to only get better with time.

Made with Chardonnay from the lieu dit of ‘Les Arces’ in Arbois. Here the vines benefit from a northern exposure and are planted on marl/limestone soils.

The direct press juice was fermented in tank and then aged in old oak barrique for one year. The wine is bright and focussed, showcasing real Jurassic purity.

About Marie Boudon

Following a few years as a sommelier in Paris, Marie Bourdon moved to Jura in 2016 as an apprentice to Raphael Monnier at Domaine Ratapoil before quickly becoming a collaborative partner. Now, Marie is embarking on her own venture, crafting pure and tense wines from a 1.2-hectare parcel in Arbois. Marie is part of a new generation of young vignerons making a name for themselves in the Jura, she released her first vintage in 2019.

Her modest vineyard, planted with Chardonnay and Trousseau, is situated on a north-facing parcel with a mix of marl and limestone based soils and has long been farmed biodynamically, previously being under the care of Domaine de la Touraize. The work in the vineyard is simple and thoughtful. The land is worked by horse and with the exception of an atomiser, a mower and a brush cutter, nothing is mechanised.
