Serious Grand Cru Riesling from this singular producer. The 2022 shows great balance, picked early to retain freshness. Chiseled, mineral and persistently salty with great length and complexity. Find out more.
A litre bottle of pure Alsatian sunshine that jumps from the glass with all things elderflower, grapefruit, lemon and lime. Pouring a hazy shade of lemon in glass and bursting with pithy citrus and zippy minerality.
It’s hard not to compare this one to adult lemonade. Bottled in litre format, which always gives us a clue as to what to expect – nourishing juice designed to be knocked back with abandon.
An Edelzwicker blend of Pinot blanc, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Sylvaner, made using grapes from Yann's organic-grower neighbour. The grapes are macerated for 24 hours, leaving the wine somewhere in-between the orange and white wine world. Fermentation takes place in in stainless steel before assembling and bottling with no additions. The perfect addition to any al fresco gatherings.
The Durrmann family had made wine for generations as small farmers. Grandad had moved away from farming to become a shoemaker but still kept a few vines on the side. André decided to move back to farming in 1979 and pieced the domaine together from abandoned vineyard sites that were hard to work and no longer commercially viable. Son Yann has worked in the domaine since he was a child and officially took over the business a year ago. André was among the first wave of organic winemakers in Alsace, converting in 1998. Yann has taken this a step further applying a more natural approach in the cellar.
