The darker juice from the Syrah pulling more towards a rosé in appearance, but with a peachy sunset tint from the macerated Viognier, it remains a hard wine to categorise, but also begs the question, what does that matter? Worked in this way the Syrah gives some gummy red fruits to frame the herbal, anise character of the Viognier, which is extracted to leave a wonderfully fine-grained, delicate tannic profile. A very light red, or a deep rosado depending on your inclination, this is an unusual Spanish wine made from an obscure grape named Girò. It is native to Alicante, but has also found its way over to Sardinia, where it is more prevalent. This is a very modern take on an ancient varietal. Find out more.

Big aromas evoke powdery parma violets and rosewater. On the palate this sleekly-textured wine gives a sort of juicy cherry cola character, albeit with a herbaceous, strawberry liquorice lilt. A playful fruit-bomb of a wine, like nothing we have tasted before! Find out more.

100% Grolleau that at a featherweight 10 degrees of alcohol falls very much into that that 'vin de soif' category we so love here at Wayward. Lots of the earthy black fruit we associate with this lesser-sung grape and the oh so delicate 2022 vintage boasts a soaring violet perfume. Serve chilled for the best results. Find out more.

A stunning example of this highly Jura-specific red grape. The wine gives off the most wonderfully exotic cinnamon and toasted peppercorn aromas, which float above a delicate, silky body of red cherry and forest berry fruits. A plush, glossy wine with bright aromas of cherry and raspberry, both fresh and confected, over a compact body of these gateaux-like fruits, with a subtle framboise-esque almond note hovering just out of shot. A judicious balance of grip and crunch to the finish keeps things feeling clear-cut and pure, working its magic most effectively when served with a brisk chill. Find out more.

A fabulously floaty infusion-style wine, showing the diminished tannic structure, pure fruit character and openness of aroma that can be achieved with this restrained method. Fragrant with fresh strawberries and dusty anise, the body of the wine is rounded and gravity-defying, the lightly confected red fruits and spices taking on a pillowy, compote-like quality with a dust of herby liquorice. Highly unconventional Margaret River stylings here with this descriptively-named red and white mix of Sauvignon Blanc with Shiraz. In light, chillable red territory, here the red coulis fruits are elevated with herbaceous vim. Incomparable and all the better for it - if it tastes this good, why not? Find out more.

Fred's entry-point cuvée, blending a roughly even split of almost every grape grown in the domaine, red and white, brought together in a direct-press. The resulting wine is a striking translucent ruby, sitting in that pale red, deep rosé intersection - be sure to drink this one chilled. Find out more.
This is resolutely a red wine, despite 50% of the grapes being white, such is the influence of the Syrah. The Chardonnay and Viognier keep things delightfully silky and fluid, but the red grape provides a huge aromatic lift, that somehow seems to carry itself through into the palate, which is dense with dark blackcurrant fruits and juicy, saline black olive.
