Made using Bergeron, a highly obscure strain of Roussanne that is found in the alpine region of Savoie. Macerated on the skins and aged in barrel, it is is ripe and exotic on the nose, with dry tea-like tannins. Incredibly delicate, alluring and one of Bouju's harder to track down cuvées.

No, we didn't think we'd one day be listing wine from Belgium either! The thing that drew us to this fascinating project was the radical approach; natural wine almost reverse-engineered in the concept of planting grape varietals that suited the place they were grown, sidestepping chemical farming methods in the process. Fittingly, the wines are like nothing you will have tried before. One for the curious! Find out more.

A contemplative wine that speaks of the winemaking history of this rugged terrain. In a world of aromatic Malvasia that can blow your head of with its soaring, fragrant aromas, it is refreshing to find a totally different expression of the grape from the windswept limestone soils of Slovenia's Kras. As with all of Joan’s wines, the whole bunches are destemmed and the grapes macerated for around one week. Joan doesn’t ever press, and therefore loses a big amount of his yield but he prefers this more soft and gentle juice. Find out more.

A field blend of Phoenix and Rondo grapes from a single vineyard in Beckley, East Sussex. After a short maceration the wine was left to age in old Burgundy barrels for 9 months. Highly unconventional Margaret River stylings here with this descriptively-named red and white mix of Sauvignon Blanc with Shiraz. In light, chillable red territory, here the red coulis fruits are elevated with herbaceous vim. Incomparable and all the better for it - if it tastes this good, why not? Find out more.
