Less steely and with softer edges than his more classical staple 'La Pente de Chavigny', this feels open and expressive, but never anything other than laser-beam linear. Juicy green apple, elderflower and ripe pear come together in a salivating meld, with a line of raw lemon citrus cutting it all through - without intervention, none of Mikaël’s whites complete malolactic, giving the wine some good vibrancy and edge. Natural white wine can take on many forms; from bone-dry, pale in colour and decidedly classical, all the way through to wines with a much deeper, golden hue and notable substance. Hazy, vinous, and textured, with a plump succulence that coats the palate. We hope that our wide-ranging selection will throw up some new discoveries and maybe even take you out of your comfort zone to pastures new.
