Country – Italy

Here is a collection of past vintages of some of our favorites that we've been keeping aside.

Cantina Giardino
Drogone 2019

Chewy, robust Aglianico that sees a long maceration followed by an extended maturation in old chestnut barrels. A wine that needs time for its powerful tannins to integrate, this 2018 is now in a great place, and will improve for many years to come. Find out more.

  • Region Irpinia, Campania, Italy

Ar.Pe.Pe.
Grumello Rocca de Piro Valtellina Superiore 2019

Here, fifty year old vines sit between 350 to 500 metres above sea level and the wine spends four months on skins in tini, before being pressed off to old chestnut botti to rest for a year and a half. This is a fruit-forward and less austere take on Nebbiolo. Find out more.

  • Region Valtellina, Lombardy, Italy
  • Grapes Nebbiolo
  • Vineyard Organic
  • Cellar Fermented with native yeasts, unfiltered & unfined, minimal additional sulphites

Fabio Ferracane
Aggiara 2021

Next-level sister wine to Fabio's 'Macerato' cuvée with a more refined process. Here, an extended time in amphora has imprinted a whole new textural identity on that same herbal, pithy and deep maceration of Catarratto. There is the familiar eucalyptus and salt-tinged apricot stone fruit, but here the tannins feel filed-down and beautifully fine-grained from the contact with the clay vessel. Find out more.

  • Region Marsala, Sicily, Italy
  • Grapes Catarratto
  • Vineyard Organic
  • Cellar Fermented with native yeasts, unfiltered & unfined, no additional sulphites

Sol 2016

Sweet, passito-style wine made with the old-fashioned, labour-of-love method: Moscato grapes have their shoots cut and are left on the vine to dry out and create very high natural sugar levels before being pressed and fermented. This nectar is an absolute must for fans of Moscato d'Asti. Find out more.

Fabio Ferracane
Muffato Oxidative 2018

A callback to the old school Marsala of days gone by and a remarkable, completely natural phenomenon. Bone dry, the wine is a heady mix of all the complex flavours and textures that oxidation and flor-contact can bring. Fruits give way to woody hazelnut, toasted almond, turmeric and garam masala spice with crystals of salt, plus a little sweet vanilla from the barrel. Find out more.
