Mauro's take on Piemonte's most famous digestif, Chinato. Fortified and sweetened Nebbiolo, infused with a host of aromatics from cardamom to ginseng, all tied together by the bitter China bark that gives the wine its name. Find out more.

Exquisitely composed and incredibly delicious. Best served over ice, with a slice of lemon or grapefruit and a splash of soda. Mauro Vergano's legendary aromatizzati number some of the great apertivi. Vermouth bianco with more bitter components than the typical Torino style. Find out more.
As drinkable as ever, with a nose of cherries, crushed peppercorn spice and violet flowers, followed by some freshly crushed berry fruit and a lick of acidity, all underpinned with stony minerals. Juicy, vivid and wonderfully pure, we're so happy with this year's offering, as Elisa goes from strength to strength. Find out more.

After-dinner Mauro. Still credited as the only white Chinato out there, think of this as something like a Moscato d’Asti, but amped up with a host of citrus and herbs, and given a distinct bitter backbone with the use of quinine bark. Find out more.

At the fresher end of the Syrah-spectrum, with plenty of opulent, lip-smacking fruit. Lots of dusty blackcurrant on the nose, then glossy and vibrant in the glass. Generous and toothsome, propped up by a solid tannic backbone. Find out more.

A classic red Sicilian blend given the Lamoresca treatment. The elevated inland location of the vines retains freshness, but Filippo still sees this as one of his serious wines - floral dark fruits framed by a neat tannins and that wild, herbaceous quality that seems to always find its way into the wines of this island. A serious wine with a silly name - Couilles d'Anes translates as 'donkey balls', a colloquial term coined by the local vigneron to describe the unusual black stones that can be found dotting the vineyard soils in certain locations. A delightfully aromatic vintage, bright cherry and bramble fruits meld with a violet perfume in the glass. Find out more.

Elisa is back with the 2022 iteration of this Wayward favourite. From a hot vintage this is a deeper, riper Gamay that nonetheless retains its delicacy and verve. Dusty spices, black cherry fruits, stony minerals and elegant, fine-grained tannins. Just delicious. Find out more.

We've often likened this incredible Lambrusco-style sparkling red to a liquid summer pudding; there is the tart attack of forest fruits, but offset by a creamy, lactic element. As you'd hope from this style, the tannins grip keenly and there is an iron-y, sanguine quality to the dark wine. Find out more.
