Grape – Saperavi

Here at Wayward our large selection of natural red wine covers a broad dynamic range; from the most weightless, translucent expressions of the Jura, or juicy, perfumed Gamay from Beaujolais, through to more structured, robust examples from warmer, more Mediterranean climes, you’ll find them all listed here.

Reds to keep you warm in the winter and, yes, reds that you can throw into the ice bucket. From healthy, unique vineyard parcels managed with organic and biodynamic farming, the natural wine approach can yield wildly varying results in the cellar; we deal in classical appellation all the way through to the wild, raw outer limits.

Pheasant's Tears
Quinta 2021

Deep colour typical of the inky red Saperavi grape, but lifted and aromatic care of the Mtsvane, which is white. Flavours of blueberries and dark currants, velvety texture with a hint of bitter chocolate and nice defined tannins. Made in the traditional qvevri. Find out more.
