Natural Wine For Spring

Region – Southern Rhône

Now that Summer is upon us, despite what feels like endless rain, we thought it time to put together a selection of natural wines fit for the Season. Light, bright, fresh, aromatic, heady and sensual: these are the bottles we reach for at this time of year.

Val de Combrès
La Lumiere 2022

Sumptuous black cherry fruit and spice jostle together with grippy, dialled-back tannins. A playful, well-rounded bouncing ball of a wine with bags of charm. Reflecting the vintage it shows some real heat this time, but Val has kept the balance perfectly and it is as easy-drinking as ever. Find out more.

Val de Combrès
L'Ivresse 2022

Deep, lip-smacking blackcurrant and peppery spice rules from the thicker-skinned grapes, with the Cab Franc contributing some plush sheen and herbal fragrance. Showing a bit more structure than previous vintages, this hits somewhere between the breeziness of Les Vacances and the heft of Les Quilles de Joie. Find out more.
