Marsanne from St Réméze in the southern Ardèche, made using whole bunches in carbonic maceration. This technique really draws out the broad, textural potential of the varietal - tannins have a delicate, dialled-back grippiness that neatly frames ripe southern flavours of hay, honey, saline stone fruit and a burst of pineapple. Natural white wine can take on many forms; from bone-dry, pale in colour and decidedly classical, all the way through to wines with a much deeper, golden hue and notable substance. Hazy, vinous, and textured, with a plump succulence that coats the palate.
