Miranius, named after the friendly fox who roams the vineyards enticed by the sweet aromas of the grapes. Made with 100% Xarel-lo, a fairly neutral grape which is most commonly used in Cava production. When grown with care, it acts as the perfect vehicle for terroir expression.
Here we see the brisk, agile side of the grape, mineral driven from the limestone rich soils from which it is grown. Crisp as a fresh green apple with citrus aplenty and a satisfying salty finish. Fermented and aged on the lees in stainless steel – this is a squeaky clean, thirst-quenching expression of the grape that offers tremendous value, clocking in the right side of £20.
