About the wine
Everyones favourite 'German Lambrusco' returns! Albeit slightly different this year. The 2024 growing season was a tricky one for Alanna and Martin, after losing around half their harvest to frost the couple had to get creative. Instead of the usual duo of sparklers (a rosé and a red), they decided to make a wild blend – Frauen Power Fusion!
A deliciously fruity, juicy pet-nat with herbal aromatics and delicate bubbles - sparkler that sits somewhere in between the rosé and red world. This is a playful, fun fizz that is unlikely to last long in the glass.
Made with a blend of Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Müller-Thurgau and Riesling, the grapes were carefully handpicked, avoiding any damaged fruit from the early frost. The wine finishes its fermentation in bottle – pet-nat style! Hazy, tart-fruited and textured, this is definitely one for the ice bucket on a sunny afternoon.

Originally from Toronto, Alanna Lagamba found herself working in wine in Berlin when she met Martin Wörner, a winemaker in the Rheinhessen. To cut a long love story short, in 2019 Alanna made her first wine, Frauen Power, from a plot of Dornfelder that Martin didn't know what to do with. Chanelling her Italian heritage, her aim was to make an German Lambrusco, and the results were delicious. In Alanna's own words: 'A self-proclaimed feminist, the idea behind the name of the wine came easily. Being so lucky as to have so many strong and powerful women in my life who inspire me every day, this wine is dedicated not only to them but to all women out there (and all who identify as such).'
