The clue is in the name with this one, Limonada is all about freshness and zip. This is the second iteration of this wine, made using vines planted in 2020. This year Joachim and Caroline chose to press the grapes directly and age the wine in amphora, giving an earthy undertone to that clean, fresh Xarel-lo profile we know and love.
A drought-resistant white grape variety which is native to Catalonia, Xarel-lo has been planted in recent years in the Roussillon as a grape that is able to withstand the unforgiving heat and minimal rainfall in the region. Despite the intense growing conditions, Joachim’s wines retain an exciting freshness and vibrancy that is really transportive, the wines are well-balanced, saline, full of character and zing.
