The latest from Hannah’s ABRACADABRA project! Here we have a curious cuvée made using Muscat which has been passed over the skins of Auvergnat Gamay for 7 days, resulting in bright, pinky-hued juice. The wine is gently fruit-forward with notes of forced rhubarb sitting beside a bloody mineral edge. An experimental, category-defying cuvée falling somewhere in between the rosé and orange wine world.
The grapes here come from two organic growers, the Muscat from Mattia Carfagna (Pouzolles, Hérault) and Gamay d’Auvergne from Nicolas Lebleu (Blanzat, Puy-de-Dôme). Tiny production as always, with just 665 bottles produced.
ABRACADABRA is the négoce project of Hannah Fuellenkemper. The project is a real labour of love, we highly recommend following Hannah's blog which offers a refreshingly candid perspective on the highs and lows of making wine.
