The latest from Vinyes Singulars
Ignasi Segui of Vinyes Singulars jets in on Saturday for a series of events with us in Leeds, York and London. Ahead of that we have a slew of new wines hitting the list, bringing a little Mediterranean sunshine along with them.
It's hard to believe it's almost a year since we last received some wine from Ignasi. With the cellar all but bare and with his visit imminent, we're thrilled to share the new releases with you. Always well-timed for spring and summer drinking, they are little capsules of sunshine from the coast south of Barcelona. Find the whole selection online now and there is the chance to join us at our warehouse party in Leeds on Saturday 25th, at Howl in York on Sunday 26th, or, if you work in the trade, our big spring tasting in London on Monday 27th, where you'll be able to taste them all with Ignasi in person.
Working the ancient family estate in the Alt Penedès that dates as far back as the 1400s. His wines are a celebration of the native grapes and winemaking traditions of the region and fly in the face of the more industrial brand of Cava the DO is more widely associated with. Vines are farmed with organics and there are strictly no additions in the cellar. For us they are wines that are inseparable from the beautiful Costa Daurada coastline and the buzz of Barcelona, transporting us there every time with their sunkissed Mediterranean citrus fruits, spices and oceanic salts.
Visit waywardwines.co.uk to find out more about the wine, the events and to place an order. A selection of these wines can be found in our Leeds shop too.
Wholesale to the trade via Wayward Imports - get in touch if you would like to join us on Monday, or to be added to our trade newsletter to be kept in the loop about these and other wines we import.
