The latest from Petite Nature

After the first wave of releases back in February, today we’re happy to follow up with three more wines from the coveted cellar of Paulette Maziou of Petite Nature in the north of the Ardèche.
We’ve waxed lyrical about this wonderfully adept grower before - an ex-student of Daniel Sage and Jean Delobre who decided to go it alone in 2019, establishing her own tiny domaine in and around Quintenas at the northern tip of the Ardèche. After working hard to distribute the wines around France herself, it wasn’t long before they started to appear on lists in the right sort of places and quickly a reputation was forged, making her miniscule output in-demand from the off.
Once you have tasted it’s easy to see why they are so well-regarded - perfume, elegance, with a plush concentration of fruit and a fluid, gradient texture that make them so distinctive. We’ve just added the following:
L’AMOUR A LA PLAGE 2023 - Viognier macerated in directly-pressed Chardonnay
TOMBÉE DU CIEL 2023 - Gamay from the domaine
BONNE ETOILE 2022 - Syrah & Gamay from the domaine aged in old barrels
There are also a handful of bottles of Chalouper 2023 and Sorcières 2023 left if you are quick. Find them all here.
