The latest from Patricia & Remi Bonneton

After kicking off the year with some welcome new wines, we’re so happy to follow up with a second shipment from the Bonnetons - as usual a diverse mix of cuvées new and old and this time we’re thrilled to be able to offer a little taste of some of their domaine wine, which we have not shipped for some time.
Patricia & Remi farm just 2 hectares of their own vines, a stone’s throw away from the iconic sloped vineyards of the Northern Rhône, which they bottle as L’Alezan. As production from this small surface yields only a few thousand bottles each year, the bulk of their annual output comes in the form of their experimental, geography-straddling négociant label, La Tangente.
As well as the long-awaited return of their sparkling domaine Syrah rosé, Merci 2023, we also have a superb new vintage of their macerated white, Ho’oponopono from the same vintage. And, always keeping us on our toes, there are two brand new cuvées that we have never listed before, both of which explore the idea of combining multiple terroirs. Expérience 2021 uses Cinsault from the Gard and Gamay from Beaujolais and has had a good three years’ rest in the cellar. Petit Prince 2023 is one of their most finessed reds yet, blending multiple grapes from a scattering of southern Ardèche, Gard and Vaucluse vineyards.
