New L'Alezan domaine wine from Patricia & Remi Bonneton

For the first time in three years we have some of the stunning L'Alezan domaine wine from Patricia & Remi Bonneton.

We're delighted to release two 2022s from Paricia & Remi's prized domaine parcels, nestled in the valley to the west of the the iconic sloped vineyards of the Northern Rhône AOC. At just shy of two hectares in total, the production is tiny, producing less than 2000 bottles in a good year, meaning we don't get hold of them so often. Additionally, we have just a couple of cases of a 2023 one-off micro-cuvée from the same plot.

Suspens 2022 is Marsanne & Roussanne grown close to Saint-Joseph, and Resilience 2022 from a little further down the valley, with very old vines of Syrah and its clone, Sérine, planted at altitude. Sitting on the fringes of this prime real estate, they are very much made in the powerful, robust style of the region, and offer Patricia & Remi's take on the classics.

The third bottle you can see is Kintsugi, a micro-cuvée from the 2023 vintage made in such small quantities that is is available in person at our Leeds shop only. From the Suspens parcel, it blends those grapes with the unexpected addition of young-vine Albariño.

We have sat on these wines for the best part of a year now and feel that they are now becoming ready to drink and are perfect for the change of seasons. Being very much vin de garde in style, they are built to go the distance and will also lay down beautifully in the cellar.

Find them, and a whole host of other Bonneton wines, here.
