Shop tastings are back!
It’s been a little while, but we’re happy to announce the return of our public, all-welcome tastings at the shop, kicking off on Thursday 8th October.
When thinking on a theme we looked at some of the recent wines that had arrived that we wanted to share. Many were from the Loire in France, a region that as Wayward Imports we now directly work with five different growers from. A theme began to emerge…
We thought it would be fun to take a trip down the middle section of the Loire with these wines, from Anjou to Touraine. We will be pouring the following:
Olivier Cousin - Anjou
Pierre Borel - Bourgueil
Thomas Puechavy - Vouvray
Noëlla Morantin - Touraine
Mikaël Bouges - Touraine
Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay, Cabernet Franc, limestone, clay, flint, silex… come check out the wines, learn a bit about the producers and see what you think. It’s a diverse region and these growers all approach things with a different philosophy.
Our tastings are always free to attend. Drop in any time from 5pm, grab a glass and taste through all five wines informally. We hope you’ll stick around for a glass or two after, or pick up a bottle of your #1 to take home.
Pouring until 10pm. Hope you can join us!
