Lucas Madonia
New from Lucas Madonia - a talented, young vigneron who has spent the last few years working from the steep terraced vineyards in and around Ayent in Southern Switzerland. Dijon born, Jura trained and now calling this Alpine region home, Lucas combines his Burgundian roots with a firm commitment to crafting wines that reflect their mountainous home.
Everything here is done by hand, bottling is done by gravity and there is a commitment to zero inputs at any stage. The work here is meticulous and considered, the resulting wines precise and detailed. This is just the beginning for Lucas’ Alpine-wine journey, and with the wines having already achieved that elusive ‘sought-after’ status, it’s exciting to see what lies ahead for Lucas.
