July's Warehouse Session
With summer feeling like it’s FINALLY locked in, on Saturday 6th July we’re ready to pull up the shutters at the arches for another warehouse session. Please note the date as it’s slightly earlier in the month than the others!
This time it’s an Ardèche special and we are honoured to be welcoming Jocelyne Oustric of the trailblazing Domaine du Mazel, pioneers of natural wine since the late 90s in this part of France, as well as Geraldine Crozier of neighbouring producer La Vrille et le Papillon, good friends who, inspired by the Oustrics, set up their own domaine in 2012.
As we welcome a long-overdue shipment of new wines from both to the UK, we’ll be pouring a huge selection of everything we list from these two wonderful growers, giving you a taste of this thriving pocket of the Rhône valley. We’re going to have some extra special older vintages available for the heads too, dating back to the very first Mazel vintage in 2001…
Cheese, light bites and gelato will be available from our good neighbours @georgeandjoseph and, keeping things on-theme our guest food trader will be none other than the wonderful @bavettebistro - Leeds’ recently-opened and already much-loved dream French restaurant. Sandy and Clement will be bringing a little taste of their bistro to our yard on Brussels Street.
Music will be provided by a couple of returning regulars, the ever-ebullient Boogie Monster for the afternoon slot and, refreshed after a brief blackout, Dr Verdine Etoria (Simpatico) will ply us with arresting grooves into the evening - both vinyl-only, natch.
1-9pm at 61 Brussels Street, Leeds centre, just behind the old Stinky’s Peephouse. No tickets, no reservations, just come through!
*please note Bavette will only be serving food until 6pm, George & Joseph will cater until close.
