Hot on the heels of our delicious new Beaujolais Nouveau arriving care of Elisa Guerin yesterday, we’re pleased to announce our annual party up at the shop takes place on the big day itself, Thursday 19th November.

This is the date that the new 2026 wine is permitted to go on sale to the general public. So we’ll be celebrating in the usual style, by pouring it from magnum alongside a selection of Elisa’s other Beaujolais, including some older vintages we have saved.

We generally like to dip into our treasured Julie Balagny archive around this time of year, so expect something special by the glass in that department too.

We put the Nouveau up for pre-order on our website yesterday, but should you wish to call by for a glass or two the shelves will be fully stocked for you to pick up bottles on the day.

There’s the added treat of some delicious pâté en croûte made by Rab at neighbouring restaurant Hern to nibble on alongside the rivers of sprightly Gamay.

Having opened a bottle yesterday we can honestly say it’s the most delicious nouveau we have tasted - the hot 2026 vintage has yielded so much generous raspberry and cherry fruit and even at this early stage it’s tasting so complete and on point.
