All-New Sunday Sessions to kick off 2025
We're kicking off the year with a daytime party!
January 26th will be the first of three new ‘Sunday Sessions’ – a monthly afternoon hangout to warm the colder months with wine, food and music. We aim to catch the essence of our spring/summer warehouse sessions to pull us through the dark nights and winter freeze...
Find us at The Attic on Sheaf Street where we’ll be packing the bar with a big selection of our wine to drink by the glass and bottle and will be joined by friends with boxes of records and nice things to eat to blow those January blues far, far away.
With a stage and soundsystem at our disposal, our Sunday Sessions will additionally feature a live performance to ensure all sensory needs are met. So, expect:
Wayward Natural Wine Bar – pouring a list of our own imports by the glass, with some special gems plucked from the cellar for those who would like to enjoy a choice bottle.
DJ sets from warehouse session regulars and good friends Thea HD and Michael Upson. Thea presents a bi-weekly show on NTS and recently launched her own label, Odda. Michael runs Love Muscle, Leeds’ much-loved pumping queer dance party. Both, funnily enough, enjoy a glass or two of the good stuff and will doubtless soundtrack the afternoon impeccably, from street soul to dub to afrobeat.
We’re excited to have XAM Duo come play a live set for us this month. Falling into the improvised ambient/jazz/kosmische interzone, Matt and Chris use synth and saxophone to create dreamy, blissed-out soundscapes cut through with chops of Pharoah Sanders-inspired spiritual jazz. They have shared stages with the likes of Stereolab, Jessy Lanza, Michael Rother, James Holden and more, so we’re delighted to have them on the bill for this debut session.
Food comes courtesy of the good guys at Eat Your Greens, who after their fantastic summertime pintxos and oyster bar down at the warehouse we just had to invite back. Full menu TBC but expect a similarly delicious selection of small dishes to snack on as you listen and drink.
1-8pm at the Attic, Sheaf Street – free entry, all welcome
XAM Duo will play at 4pm with DJs either side.
