Wine from Alice & Olivier De Moor in their Vendangeur Masque guise - the name they make wine under when using grapes from outside their domaine in Chablis. Here the grapes still come from within the appellation, from two different parcels planted over the ubiquitous limestone-clay with a small percentage of the Musqué variant included; this imparts more pronounced aromatics than regular Chardonnay. De Moor most certainly have a style, and that is something akin to a perfectly crisp white tablecloth with all the place settings positioned at perfect angles; the results under this négoce label offer incredible bang for buck.

Alice & Olivier De Moor are pioneers under the Chablis appellation - one of the first producers to break from standardised tradition to create truly expressive wines in this highly regarded, fair to say household name, of Burgundy. The vineyard work is organic with the grapes all picked by hand. Following spontaneous fermentation the wines are left to rest adequately before bottling, and nothing is added or removed at all, bar a tiny addition of sulphites in the very final stages. It goes without saying that our reserves of De Moor are on the small side! Don't miss out.
