About the Wine
100% Grolleau that at a featherweight 10 degrees of alcohol falls very much into that that 'vin de soif' category we so love here at Wayward. Lots of the earthy black fruit we associate with this lesser-sung grape and the oh so delicate 2022 vintage boasts a soaring violet perfume. Serve chilled for the best results.
Babass is often complimented on his meticulous attention to detail when it comes to his soils. This in turn is credited to the texture, poise and delicacy to be found in the finished wine.
About Les Vignes de Babass
Babass is something of a legend in the natural wine world. He was formerly part of Domaine des Griottes and has now decided to go it alone with his 2.4 hectares of Cabernet Franc, Grolleau and Chenin Blanc. His wines sum up natural wine for a lot of people - wild but pure and compellingly drinkable. We're very excited to have received a small allocation of these sought-after wines.
