Crunchy, green blend of Gamay, Duras and Iron Servadou from a forgotten part of South West France. Sour red cherry fruit with a savoury quality and plenty of cracked pepper spice from the Gamay. A great example of what quality can be found at this level in the lesser-known regions. Perfect served lightly chilled with a coarse terrine, fresh bread and butter.

Cuvee des Drilles
What red wine should be like... Heady mixture of savoury earthiness and fruity ripeness. Can't say we drank it as accompaniment to a terrine... nor do I have a trained palate, but we did have it slightly cooler than usual and thought it had a more complex taste like that. Splendidly flowery description on the label too :-). Thanks also for speedy delivery as always.
