The plot is just 0.8 hectares, sitting atop a hillside on a South-facing slope, with vines planted on clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand picked before a portion see a very short skin maceration in order to add texture, the remainder are slowly direct-pressed. Fermentation and aging take place large Alsatian foudre for over two years, where the wine develops some mild oxidative notes- nuts, spice and opulence.
