If you are yet to try a wine that can be categorised as ‘orange’ and wonder what it’s all about then here is a good place to start. This is Trebbiano with a relatively short 5-day skin maceration leaving it still recognisable as a richly coloured white, but just tipping over into the characteristics the skin-contact brings; heightened aromas and tannic structure. The wine has big, punchy flavours, mores than might be associated with a typical Trebbiano. It also has a caramel or toffee quality which sits nicely with the floral notes and oily citrus.
