A great example of how well a wine with zero additional sulphites can do with a bit of time. This wine from 2013 is in such a great place right now, showing a great concentrated full body with some of those tertiary notes of leather and spice starting to creep in around the edges. Work in the vineyard is strict: Biodynamic (certified). No copper used whatsoever, and sulphur only when absolutely necessary (not every year). The treatments consist mainly of essential oils and herbal infusions. They recently left Demeter as they do not feel they are strict enough, opting instead for a certification from ‘Nature et Progrès'. The blend of grapes comes from vines averaging 60 years old resulting in only the highest quality of fruit. An intense, bold and completely natural wine that is a world away from the 'glouglou' style.
