Pinot Noir from the Auvergne that is pretty, nimble and delicate with incredible purity of flavour. The wine come from two parcels of vines at varying elevations both planted over the same iron-rich volcanic soils. The grapes from each site are fermented separately in oak and then after a period of maturation in old barrels they are blended together to create two cuvées, Les Grandes Orgues, and this one, Les Petites Orgues. The wine shows those mineral notes of iron and subtle notes of anise on the finish. If you favour a Burgundian Pinot we urge you to drift a little further South to see what this lesser-known region of extinct volcanoes has to offer.
