Before Amarone and Ripasso comes Valpolicella Classico. The fresher, simpler and most easy-going of the Valpolicella family, Classico doesn't undergo the distinct drying and maceration processes that characterise other wines from this famous region. The aroma is fresh fruits, mainly bright red cherry, with the bit of time this '14 has had lending some depth and leathery spice.
